This is therefore an exceptionally rare material available in a unique shape. 
Generally Speaking - Dumortierite is a fibrous, multicolored Aluminum Soro-Silicate mineral with the chemical composition AhBO,(SiO,),O,.
This mineral crystallizes in the orthorhombic system, typically forming fibrous aggregates of slender prismatic crystals. These crystals possess a vitreous luster and come in a range of colors, including brown, blue, green, and the rarer violet and pink varieties.
Madagascar is home to limited deposits of this material, which are meticulously transformed into beautiful polished pieces. The material's stunning blue hue often resembles apatite, but there exists a distinct chemical differentiation between the two minerals.
Dumortierite is exceptionally rare and highly sought after by collectors.
